Day 1 — Arrival without rushing
Pick up your vehicle only if you land early enough for daylight driving. For an evening arrival, stay near the airport and begin the route after breakfast. The Blueprint specifies a latest sensible departure time, fuel and food stops, and a backup plan for delays.
Day 2 — La Fortuna rainforest and wildlife
Schedule one guided nature walk in the morning, when wildlife activity and temperatures are often more favorable. Keep the afternoon flexible for a short trail, waterfall, or rest. The plan separates must-reserve activities from options that can move with the weather.
Day 3 — Arenal landscapes at a comfortable pace
Choose a trail that matches your mobility and heat tolerance, then leave space for hot springs or a quiet evening. Your Blueprint explains why each activity fits the route instead of simply listing attractions.
Day 4 — Transfer to Monteverde
Treat the mountain transfer as part of the day. The sample includes a realistic drive window, daylight cutoff, road notes, suggested break, and what to confirm with your lodging before departure.
