Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of costaricanatureplanner.com and any personalized Costa Rica Blueprint™ planning service offered under the Costa Rica Nature Planner (“CRNP”) trade name. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. A paid planning order is formed only as described below.

Independent planning service

CRNP provides independent itinerary research, route guidance, and personalized planning information. CRNP is not a tour operator, travel agency, transportation provider, lodging provider, insurer, or booking agent. CRNP does not make reservations or accept payment for third-party travel services and does not earn commissions from recommended providers. You choose, book, and pay every provider directly.

Ordering and contract formation

Submitting an inquiry does not create a paid order. Before personalized work begins, CRNP will confirm the service scope, displayed or final planning fee, expected digital delivery timing, and included revision in writing. Your order is accepted when you expressly approve that written scope and complete the requested payment. Personalized work begins after that acceptance and payment.

Prices, taxes, and excluded travel costs

Displayed planning fees are stated in U.S. dollars and include any applicable taxes; no additional tax is added to the stated price. The planning fee covers CRNP’s digital planning service only. Lodging, transportation, vehicle rental, fuel, tours, guides, meals, park tickets, flights, insurance, medical costs, and every other travel expense are excluded. You contract with and pay each third-party provider directly under that provider’s terms.

Digital delivery and revisions

Your Costa Rica Blueprint™ is delivered digitally to the email address or other delivery channel agreed in writing. One revision is included unless the written scope says otherwise. You agree to provide timely and accurate dates, traveler details, priorities, budget, and other information reasonably needed for the service. Material changes to dates, party size, budget, destinations, or scope after work begins may require a revised fee or delivery date, which will be confirmed before additional work begins.

Cancellations and refunds

Planning fees are non-refundable once personalized work has begun, except where applicable mandatory law provides otherwise. Any applicable statutory withdrawal or cancellation right remains unaffected. If CRNP cannot provide an agreed paid service, CRNP will refund the amount attributable to the unprovided portion.

Changing travel conditions and customer responsibility

Travel conditions can change without notice. Weather, roads, park access, schedules, prices, availability, entry rules, health requirements, and third-party policies may differ from the information available when site content or a Blueprint is prepared. You are responsible for confirming current details with the relevant authority or provider before booking and again before travel.

Website content and planning information are not legal, medical, financial, immigration, safety, or other regulated professional advice. You remain responsible for travel decisions, suitable insurance, documentation, health precautions, accessibility needs, and evaluating risks for your circumstances.

Third-party services

References or links to parks, guides, accommodations, rental companies, airlines, restaurants, or other providers do not make them CRNP’s agents and do not create a warranty or guarantee. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. To the extent permitted by applicable law, CRNP is not responsible for a provider’s acts, omissions, availability, prices, cancellations, or performance.

Acceptable use

You may use the site only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not interfere with site security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, scrape or copy content at scale, impersonate another person, submit false or unlawful material, or use the site to violate another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

The site and original materials—including text, itinerary structure, graphics, branding, and personalized Blueprint content—are owned by or licensed to CRNP and protected by applicable law. CRNP grants you a limited, non-transferable license to use purchased or downloaded materials for your own trip. You may not resell, publish, distribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit them without written permission.

Your submissions

You retain ownership of information you submit and grant CRNP permission to use it as reasonably necessary to answer your request, provide the agreed service, operate the site, and comply with law, subject to the Privacy Policy. Do not submit information you do not have the right to share or unnecessary sensitive information.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site, free resources, and planning information are provided “as is” and “as available.” CRNP does not guarantee uninterrupted site access, wildlife sightings, travel times, prices, availability, or the performance of third-party services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CRNP will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits or data; travel disruption; injury; illness; property loss; or third-party acts arising from site use, planning information, or travel decisions. Any direct liability connected with a paid planning service will not exceed the amount you paid CRNP for that service, except where applicable law does not allow that limitation.

Changes and availability

CRNP may update the site, services, or these Terms. Revised Terms apply from the effective date shown on this page and do not retroactively change an already accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you. CRNP may suspend or discontinue site features when reasonably necessary.

Governing law and mandatory rights

These Terms are governed by Costa Rican law to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. Any dispute will be handled by a competent court unless applicable law gives you another mandatory forum.
